Louise has become a trusted caretaker of our two dogs. One of the many services she offers is taking a pet to a veterinary appointment. She has done this for us as well as administering medications. Louise always has a handle on what is going on with our Hershe and Sutton.
PAWS Chateau is a beautiful facility staffed with people who provide a loving and fun environment for our Hershe and Sutton. Louise has created a place with people that love our pets, take excellent care of our pets, and provide exercise with regular walks for our pets.
We are especially thankful to Louise for accepting Hershe into PAWS. Hershe isn’t suited for an open environment; however Louise figured out a way to let Hershe enjoy PAWS. This accommodation fulfilled our needs and it really means a lot to us. Hershe loves everyone at PAWS. Sutton has great interactions with other dogs and the staff in addition to getting the exercise he needs. Both our pets enjoy going to PAWS.
PAWS Chateau gives us the peace of mind that our pets are safe, well cared for and loved while we can’t be with them. Thank you Louise!

As a responsible pet owner, you want nothing but the best for your pup. One of most stressful things a family can do is to leave your dog at a boarding facility. It is a choice that could have long-term positive or negative effects on your dog.
We weren’t comfortable with some of the boarding options at some of the nearby facilities. My coworker has high regards for Paws Chateau and recommended them to us. She felt that her dogs were safe in their care and said that she wouldn’t take them anywhere else.
Therefore, I called and spoke to Peter. I told him that we have a rambunctious little puppy who is not past the teething stage. He said that this is normal and that he would be fine. They just needed to do a temperament test to see if this was the right environment for him. So we made an appointment to drop our little guy off for a couple of hours.
We were greeted by Louise and we began filling out paperwork. She came over and talked to our puppy for a bit. Then she said that they’d take good care of him and that we should come back in a couple of hours. She opened the door and sent us on our way.
We came back around 2 1/2 hours later and Louise said that he passed the temperament test. We were surprised because he’s an active puppy who is still being socialized. He is just learning how to run and play with other dogs. Socialization is very important for all dogs and this is the right place to make it happen.
What’s funny is that we asked where our puppy was, thinking that he was in a kennel. She said that he was in the small dog play area. We looked into the small dog area and there he was running around with other dogs. Our little buddy was playing and enjoying himself! The play room is HUGE with enough space for dogs to run and play or look for a corner to rest. All of the dogs were friendly and respectful of one another.
Louise said that initially, he was aloof and nervous. It took a little bit of time for him to warm up to the other dogs. This was his first time being free to explore so it was a bit overwhelming for him. Louise said that she put her arm around him for comfort. They let him know that he’d be alright. I liked that they worked with him relax. They made his first real-world, unleashed encounter with new dogs super positive!
We have been looking for a place to board our puppy while we go on vacation in the near future. We needed peace of mind for our puppy so that our trip could be worry-free. Louise showed us three rooms: penthouse, deluxe, and standard. The penthouse and deluxe suites have a webcam so that you can keep an eye on your dog, as well as a flat screen tv! All three rooms were clean and large enough to accommodate dogs of all sizes. In the end, we felt comfortable with their staff and the environment.
The staff at Paws Chateau are very professional and have your pets’ best interest in mind. They value the safety of all visitors at their facility. I also like that they conduct a temperament test to ensure that your dog will do well with their staff and other dogs. I also appreciate the fact that they worked with our puppy to help him develop self-confidence. We are so proud of how far our puppy came in such a short period of time. I am confident that our puppy will be in good hands and that he will enjoy his stay at Paws Chateau!
I’m so glad I found this place through yelp. I’ve had my dog Teddy for about 4 months and during the time I’ve never been away from him for more than 4-5 hours at a time. So needless to say I was extremely reluctant to leave his care with anyone (especially a complete stranger). Over the past weekend I was forced to choose a boarding place for me to put him in due to certain obligations. I looked at a few places but everywhere I went, I got the vibe that they only want my money and the care of my dog was not their top priority. That is until I contacted Paws Chateau. The lady I spoke with over the phone was really nice and she answered all my questions. I took Teddy in for a temperament test and she did NOT hesitate to turn us away when she noticed he was missing a shot (something that even my vet neglected to tell me). Now I can see how some people would’ve taken offense to this and probably not come back, but I saw it as they actually care about the welfare of their clients and money was not their priority. When I picked Teddy up from the temperament test (after I got him the shot) he looked very happy so I decided that I was going to leave him at Paws Chateau. They gave me the log in to their camera system so I can watch my dog play while I was away. Just picked him up earlier today and he looked so bummed as we were leaving I almost felt bad for taking him home….almost!
For the past several months we had been taking our Labradoodle Lou-C to a doggy daycare that was more geared towards smaller dogs. She had grown up there and it was all she knew. Now that she is almost 1 we thought it was time to move on. The first day at Paws Chateau she was very hesitant to go inside, and rightfully so. New smells, new people, bigger dogs! (I would be nervous too) My husband and I both watched her (from work) on their camera. When I picked her up she wasn’t acting right. She didn’t greet me like her normal self. I was a little concerned but thought maybe she was just hungry. I put her in the car and as we made it half way out the parking lot she was asleep. We live in Seal Beach so the drive was about 15 minutes and she slept the ENTIRE way home!
The next day when I brought her back she sprinted to the front door! Her excitement was very obvious and now she knows that this is her new second home.
Your facility is HUGE compared to what she is used to and your staff constantly walks around so the dogs walk around. The fact that she isn’t placed in a kennel is another 5-star reason why we started coming here. To make a very long story short…our dog comes home literally exhausted from having so much fun. THANK YOU for providing a safe, fun and amazing experience for our girl!
I highly recommend paws chateau! they are so friendly! our dog Casey had a lot of fun playing with other dogs and made new friends .we were able to see him interact at play time by webcam and see him sleep at night. Casey normally has separation anxiety but was kept so busy he didn’t even miss us! he he even got a bubble bath before coming home! We now feel more comfortable traveling!
My pets love going to Paws Chateau, it is home away from home..
The hands on care by Louise and her staff is satisfying and puts me at ease leaving my fur babies at Paws Chateau ..
We have been going to paws Chateau for a year, even though we have moved miles away, we still keep on coming back..
If you need a family oriented , hands on and loving pet care , come to Paws Chateau!!

I absolutely love paws! My 4 year old shihtzu is really shy when it comes to other dogs so I like to take her to day care every now and then to give her an opportunity to socialize. They do an excellent job creating an environment for dogs with various personalities. My dog is comfortably able to interact with humans, dogs, and explore independently to her liking throughout the day.
We have been taking our two dogs to Paws Chateau for about a year now. Our two dogs are like our children so we want to know that they are safe and cared for. We trust Paws Chateau and will not take them anywhere else. I love being able to see them on the webcam throughout the day and know they are safe and having fun. It is very clear that Louise cares for the dogs; one of our dogs got sick recently and when we brought him back she remembered and asked how he was doing and if there was anything they should watch for while we were gone. It definitely gave me peace of mind while we were away. If you want a clean and safe place to board your dogs, I definitely recommend Paws Chateau!
I love this place and wouldn’t trust my dog with anyone else! My dog Teddy (pug/Boston terrier) runs right up to Louise every time we take him to Paws. If you don’t give them time to test your dog (like asked for on the website and over the phone) they will be busy and stressed but they still try to fit you in. They give the best customer service you could ask for! As for the dogs playing.. Some dogs don’t play and some do. It just depends on the dog. Mine plays and naps and I can see it all on the doggie cam but it makes me feel so much better knowing he isn’t alone, has the opportunity to play and keeps his mind active! Peter and Louise love what they do and it shows with how they treat your furry family members and how much my dog loves them! :)
We love the Paws Chateau, more importantly the dogs enjoy it! It is nice to feel so comfortable that when necessary there is a home away from home for our furry kids! Peter , Louise and team are thoughtful, caring and do a great job! Thanks, we are frequent guests and highly recommend!
I am a total fan of Paws Chateau as this place is an amazing dog playground where a dog can be a dog. Their facilities are immaculate and staff is always friendly and courteous. Peter and Louise are the absolute pet professionals whose main concern is the safety and well-being of our pets. My precious Miso, a little Maltipoo, definitely loves coming to his doggie day camp to hang out with his paws buddies at least 2-3 times every month. He’d come home very happy and exhausted, every single time. Life is so sweet at the Chateau!

It’s the cutest darn place you’ll ever see, decorated like a doggy fairytale. It’s also the sparkling cleanest, most conscientiously run camp and pet hotel. I looked at a lot of places, and they are heads above. Heads. Above.
Louise is a certified trainer, and her sweet doggie Maeve is the ‘Activities Director’. Joey loves them and Peter. They welcome the doggies and introduce them to the play group in a most caring way. The doggie cams help parents with separation anxiety see how much fun the pups are having.
Our puppy has stayed over a few nights, had a great time and was very comfortable. The rooms are adorable with glass doors and comfy beds, nothing that feels like a cage. It’s a real comfort to know your pup is happy and safe here, being pampered and on a little vacation themselves.
I’m so happy to have found Paws Chateau. Joey loves you! Thank you so much Louise and Peter, and all your wonderful day ‘camp counselors’!
